Protecting Reputation...
If I have a right of passage treaty with one civ (Spain) with 15 turns to go and...if I sign a mutual protection pact with another civ (Russia)...If the Russian declare war on the Spain (now I am brought in to war) , if I attack Spain, will I lose reputation points OR it is best to be brought into the war but I do not attack Spain?

Gary, based on the information from Kevin, I refuse to answer this because you are responsible for the Lions loss.
Alright Gary, so maybe you didn't blow hte snap yourself, so here's what I found in text. The +4 values is going to a lot of detail in how much it will effect the AIs opinion
- Breaking a ROP treaty:
+4 If you have no units in their territory when declaring war with a ROP treaty in place, other AI will add +1, but will still sign ROP with you. +6 If you have any units in their territory when you break the ROP treaty, and other civs won’t sign ROP with you anymore and will add +2.
- Ok, now the "active" war question, here is how it effects your Rep:
If YOU declare war (or you are forced to declare war because of a MPP), then you get the rep hit for having units in their territory.
If they declare war (or they are forced to declare war on you because of a MPP), then there is no rep hit for you.
MPPs are tricky, because someone else could screw up your rep for you by triggering a MPP while you happen to have 1 unit in somebody's territory.
So, basically the MPP screws you as it frequently does to me as well. So, you might as well attack Spain, just don't raze any of thier cities, because that will make it worse. OK, seriously, why do you care about the AIs attitude, Game 4 doesn't have diplomatic victory as an option?
